PAVER PROJECT PLANNER

Paver Calculator

Estimate the pavers and supporting materials for a rectangular patio or walkway. Start with the project size, then adjust the paver, base, bedding, joint-sand and edging inputs.

PAVER PROJECT PLANNING GUIDE

Calculate the whole paver project, not just the pieces.

A paver patio or walkway usually needs more than the visible pavers. MEASSIVO keeps the finished surface, supporting layers, joint sand and edge restraint separate so you can estimate what each part of the project requires.

01

Measure the finished area

Enter the rectangular project length and width in US or metric units. MEASSIVO calculates the area and perimeter automatically.

02

Choose the paver size

Use a common nominal size or enter custom dimensions, then add a waste allowance to estimate the number of pieces to order.

03

Estimate supporting materials

Add base and bedding depths, supplier density, joint-sand coverage and edge-restraint length to keep each material quantity separate.

04

Prepare the order

Add pallet information and optional prices to build a shopping list, cost estimate and supplier-ready project summary.

WHAT THE CALCULATOR ESTIMATES

Pavers, layers and finishing materials stay separate.

Pavers

Calculates pieces from the project area and paver face size, then applies your waste allowance and optional pieces-per-pallet value.

Base aggregate

Estimates order volume and weight from area, depth, density and extra-material allowance.

Bedding sand

Keeps the bedding layer separate from the aggregate base and estimates its own volume, weight and optional material cost.

Joint sand

Uses the coverage value supplied for your selected product to estimate how many bags are needed for the project area.

Edge restraint

Uses the project perimeter and the length of one restraint piece to estimate the number of pieces to order.

Material cost

Optional prices create a known-price subtotal or a complete estimated material subtotal when every active component is priced.

The calculator estimates quantities; it does not prescribe a structural pavement design. Base and bedding requirements can vary with soil, drainage, climate, traffic, product system and local specifications.

PAVER CALCULATOR FAQ

Common paver planning questions

How does the calculator work out how many pavers I need?

It divides the project area by the face area of one paver, then applies the waste percentage and rounds the order quantity up to a whole piece.

Why should I include a waste allowance?

A waste allowance can account for cuts, breakage and ordering margin. Enter the percentage appropriate to your project rather than treating the default as a required value.

Can I calculate pallets as well as individual pavers?

Yes. Enter the number of pieces in one pallet and MEASSIVO rounds the required pallet quantity up to the next whole pallet.

Does the calculator tell me the correct base depth?

No. Base and bedding depths are project inputs, not engineering recommendations. Use the requirements for your site, product system, design or supplier.

How is joint sand calculated?

Enter the coverage per bag shown by the manufacturer for your paver and joint configuration. MEASSIVO uses that coverage and the project area to estimate the number of bags.

Are the quantities and prices final order values?

No. They are planning estimates. Confirm actual product dimensions, density, coverage, packaging, availability, quantity and current pricing with your supplier before ordering.
